The practice of massage therapy is the assessment of the soft tissue
and joints of the body and the treatment and prevention of physical
dysfunction and pain of the soft tissue and joints by manipulation to
develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment physical function, or
relieve pain. (Massage Therapy Act. 1991)

The following massage Therapy applications offer to assist with pain
management, decrease muscle tension/adhesions, promote
circulation, address contractures and assist with range of motion.

Deep Tissue Massage
Deep fascial techniques are applied to decrease restrictions in muscle
tissue and increase mobility. Open communication and reference to a
pain scale will be utilized. This is to ensure client's comfort during
treatment. Treatment can be stopped or modified in regards to client's
tolerance and or comfort level at any time.

Myo-fascial Tigger Points

muscle. A 'twitch response' or referred pain noted by the client will
also indicate a trigger point. The release technique is applied until a
noted level of pain decreases, does not diminish or eliminates.
Trigger Point Release can be stopped or altered at any time during
treatment. Open communication and reference to pain scale is utilized.

Friction Technique

adhesions/scar tissue. Area will be warmed and stretched pre
technique. Open communication and reference to pain scale will be
utilized. Area stretched and/or ice application offered post
